The varied demographics of the District provide opportunity for its personnel to respond to emergencies in rural, suburban and urban settings. The wide diversity of emergency incidents require firefighters to be proficient in wildland fire fighting, structural fire fighting, back country/technical rescue, swift water rescue, hazardous materials mitigation, and emergency medical services.
You are entitled to 5 face-to-face sessions or telephonic or web-video consultations for problem-solving support per incident, per policy year
Separate limits apply for work-life consultations.
North Tahoe Fire Protection District Lake Tahoe, California
The North Tahoe Fire Protection District provides the highest possible level of fire and life safety, rescue and emergency medical service, fire prevention and public education to the citizens and visitors of the communities we serve.
Currently, the District’s 70 uniformed and support personnel protects an area of 32 square miles on the north and west shores of Lake Tahoe. There are six fire stations within the District, located in Alpine Meadows, Tahoe City, Homewood, Dollar Hill, Carnelian Bay and Kings Beach, that are staffed by 50 uniformed and support personnel to nearly 15,000 people within the area we serve.
